Remember when I said I hope I feel better in a few days? Well I got a lot worse! I ended up going home for a few days because I got a super bad chest infection, doctor says possible mild pneumonia. I have no idea how it happened but I aint happy about it. (I feel a bit better now as I'm writing this, so hopefully I'll be able to do more work next week!) So this week I took it quite easy and worked mainly on the illustration, making it fit more with the phobia and trying to make it quite creepy.

At this point I still hadn't worked on the background yet, so that's what I worked on next. I wanted something quite clinical, to make it quite unsettling. I also decided to incorperate teeth more into the painting, as I felt it didn't really link too well with the phobia.

I wanted to play around a bit more with uncanny valley, so I decided to increase the head size to see how it looked.

I also changed the colouring a bit to make him look more ill, as before he looked too healthy which looked a little off considering all the injuries. I still quite like that he looks quite serene, it's almost unsettling since everything that is wrong with him doesn't seem to bother him. This is how it looked towards the end of the week.
If I'm completely honest I don't like how this looks at all. I don't want to spend too long on one thing, and a fresh pair of eyes might really help when it comes to this, so next week I'm going to work on something new and come back to this at a later date.
