This week I moved on to a new phobia. I decided to work on the phobia of teeth, which is Odontophobia. The first thing I did was do some iterations of the face, I like starting off this way as I find it a quicker way to do a lot of variety of ideas.

I wasn't too sure on a solid idea at this point, whether I wanted to base it on dentists and include the mask or just actual teeth in the skin. I leant more towards the teeth idea as I felt it looked creepier than just the dentist mask. Once I had done these I did full body sketches, to get an overall idea of the character.

I found this character really hard to do. I was really unsure about using teeth. My favourite one of these was the one where he'd been bitten, so focused on that one a bit more. I decided to move onto the illustration towards the end of the week, just to get a rough idea of how I wanted it to look.

This is how it looked towards the end of the week. I focused on just the basic character first, to get proportions right before moving on to making it a lot more creepy.
I didn't get as much done this week as I hoped for, because I feel very ill. I planned in time for if I got ill and I guess my body took that as "let's get ill now then" which is really annoying. Hopefully I'll feel better in a few days!
